Our future depends on a healthy endowment. By investing in the endowment now, we ensure Masters will have the financial flexibility to invest in our students, faculty, programs and educational initiatives, facilities, and technological tools. Our Might will achieve an $80M market-value endowment by 2025.
Greater financial stability gives Masters the confidence and resources to continue its tradition of innovation and maintain its position as a leader among independent schools.
Through a robust endowment, we are able to recruit, retain and support superb and diverse teachers in every discipline, enriching the academic program and overall student experience.
We will remain accessible to talented students, and able to admit those from varied backgrounds and financial circumstances.
We will ensure that our facilities and resources encourage and enable students and faculty to strive for their full potential.
By sustaining our programs and fueling educational initiatives, we will accelerate the development of Masters’ unique signature programs, including ethical leadership, global and civic engagement, the performing arts, and innovation and entrepreneurship programming.
Our endowment, though growing, provides a relatively small share of our $35 million operating budget. A larger endowment would increase our endowment-to-operating budget ratio, providing us with the financial dexterity required to adapt to our changing world.
With a more robust financial foundation, Masters will be better positioned to invest strategically in the most fundamental components of a Masters education: superb and diverse teachers, talented and driven students, state-of-the-art facilities, and mission-aligned educational programs such as ethical leadership, global and civic engagement, and innovation and entrepreneurship.
We seek to increase our endowment to more than $80 million by 2025. This level of financial strength will allow Masters to fund initiatives that support the mission of our School and empower our students to learn, to strive, to dare, to do— to be a power for good in the world.
“Our greatest constraint at Masters is the ability to fund the innovation that is at the very core of our mission. By investing in the endowment, we can truly unleash the progress that our School has been longing to give our students and our world.”
